CHRISTMAS (OR THANK YOU) CASH

SUGGESTED DATE: Anytime in Dec, you could also do it at the beginning of Jan

This is a way to reward your customers for shopping with you all year long, it's a great thank you! for the end of the year, and if you make it expire before the 1st, it's a good way to get some year end sales.

DEPENDING ON HOW YOU DO THIS, YOU ARE TAKING A RISK
However it usually works out in your favor. There are a few options below, just be aware that anytime you offer "Cash" to spend, there's a chance they will use the cash, and not go above it which puts the cost of products on you, so choose the option you are comfortable with.

OPTION 1

HIGH RISK
... but the biggest Thank You

Offer the Christmas Cash, no strings attached based on their overall spend with you in 2025. Select a % you are comfortable with, and you can always have a cap.

Example (Shopify)

  1. Go to Analytics
  2. Then to Reports
  3. Search Sales by Customer Name
  4. Change the date range to Year To Date
  5. Hit the ... top right to Export
  6. Export as a CSV

You will need to message each customer with their dollar amount, BUT it will also be 100% personal to them, and that can go a long way.

Suggestion: Offer a minimum of $10, and then consider maybe 5% of their overall spend, up to a set dollar amount.

If you want them to shop on your site, offer to turn it into a coupon code (end of the text). If you don't, just tweak that part to ask if they want it!

OPTION 3

MEDIUM RISK
...but it's not personalized

Just offer them a flat $10 to spend with you. You don't base it on their overall spend, unless you want to offer a higher amount to your top customers that you feel pretty confident will spend more.

Most products are over $25, so you shouldn't lose money, and the hope is that the order is larger. However $10 isn't a very big incentive on a large order, so it makes less sense for them to use it, the more they want.

That's where sometimes offering a higher amount comes with more risk, but more than likely (overall) greater reward.

Offer the Christmas Cash based on overall spend, but give them an order minimum.

Here's an example, make the math for for you. Remember, this is also a thank you, not just a deal, so they might seem high, but the goal is the spend more than they "get"

So if they spent:

Over $1000
Give them $50 off a $125 Order

Over $500
Give them $35 off a $100 Order

Over $250
Give them $30 off a $100 Order

Under $250
Give them $20 off a $100 Order

SANTA SLIPPED UP

SUGGESTED DATE: Between Dec 27th and 29th

Go after some orders at the end of the month to put a bow on your year! Especially if you are saving the Christmas Cash for the New Year. Plus this is a fun "theme" for a quick and easy Pop Up. Add as much follow up as you choose. For this sale, we are sharing scripts for TWO blasts, and then some follow up to the customers who are interested. I'm also NOT sharing follow up! Talk to them, and keep it casual, literally just ask if they wanted to use their coupon, and remind them when it expires (maybe do the 2nd, since the 1st is a payday if they are tapped)!

YOU CAN STILL DO IT AFTER THE MEGA PARTY, remember... 95% of your customer based probably didn't participate 😉

(there's four sets of graphics, use the one you like! Some are nice, some are funny, since this sale is supposed to be fun, and it keeps it light. The reality is that a lot of women don't get spoiled at Christmas, and it can hurt, so bringing some humor can help!)

PREP

Virtual White Elephant Parties are a fun way to move inventory (& still works great if you have to order things too!). For this fun event, you’ll want to do a little prep.

And you'll need dice! Or some way to randomly pick numbers!

  1. What price point do you want to offer gifts? 

  2. What products do you want to include? If you’re doing a $20 buy in, I recommend offering products that are $20-28 RETAIL (so make sure you’re at LEAST profiting 50%)

  3. Once people pay, gather the products, wrap them, write the category type & retail value on the present (see pic for example). This makes it fun during the live.

  4. Once people pay, write everyone’s name down on a sticky note. 1 sticky note per present. So if 1 person buys 1 present, she gets her name written down on 1 sticky note. If 1 person buys 3 presents, she gets her name written down on 3 sticky notes. 

  5. Pick a day to go Live in your VIP Group. You need need much lead time!

  6. For easy ordering, create a White Elephant product in your store, and invoice them by email, or you can take the orders direct

THE LIVE

During the live, you can either print out the rules or write it on a whiteboard. You’ll need this visual handy so you remember the rules & it also makes it easier to explain when live. Here’s how my live went:

  1. Lay presents out in rows & put all the sticky notes you have on top of each present.

  2. Explain the rules (have camera facing you during this time).

    You can say something like:
    “Each sticky note is one of you. I’ll go through every name and roll the die. Some numbers make everyone pass their gifts left or right, so I’ll move all the names. Other numbers let that person steal, swap, or keep their gift. At the end, whatever present your name is on… that’s the one you’ll get in the mail.”

  3. Now flip the camera so they can watch your die roll & see the presents. Roll die & play the game but while going live & ask those who are joining the live who each person should steal the gifts from, etc. This is very interactive! 

  4. Once you play through each person (aka the sticky notes) once, do 1 final roll.

  5. Once you’re doing playing, message everyone who bought presents & say, “thanks for playing White Elephant with me! ❄️ Before I package up your present(s), would you like anything else 15% off? INSERT LINK

Top Tips for a very Merry Christmas.... even with a house full of kids or family 🎄

  • Want to increase your email subscribers?
    Use some of the email content for teasers on your socials, or as tips & tricks text messages. Then tell them that if they want more detail and regular Sexual Wellness information to subscribe (then include details on how they sign up for your emails)
  • Remember that email is a long game!
    It's also a way lower conversion rate than what you might be used to (if you message 10 people, you might get one bite... if you email 1000 people, you might get one bite...). That's why continuing to build your funnel and getting new subscribers matters. Emails can also get stale, and if you are just starting out, you might have 50% of your emails be stale leads. That's okay, don't sweat it.
  • Personalize them
    by inserting a "First Name" field when you can. Also, if you have both men and women on your email list, make sure you make things as generic as possible by not assuming your audience.
  • Create custom collections to increase conversion (advanced)
    Depending on your goal and comfort level, if there's an email that talks about a certain type of product, or let's say Menopause, you can create a Collection for "Menopause" and link that as your button. So instead of a Shop Now button that takes them to your home page, it would directly take them to the 5 curated Menopause recommendations, making searching and shopping easier 😉
  • Eye catching graphics
    Don't worry about header images not matching products you carry (unless you are specifically selling a certain item in the email). No one will EVER (okay, probably not ever) ask for it. It's just about capturing their attention.
  • Add a little formatting
    Like putting the text into bullet points, adding some bold or italics (I'm working on getting the copy paste to work to include these, but for now, it's doesn't!
  • Include your Important Details
    Make sure your emails have links to your socials (you can even add buttons to click to follow instead of the little icons). You also want to make sure they can shop easily, or contact you. It's also okay to include a photo of you in the email, or in the footer so they know who you are.
