PUTTING YOUR FLASH SALE ON YOUR SHOPIFY SITE:
*for general sales, if you create a "SALE" collection, and set it to SMART, then put products must match "compare-at-price" is not empty then anytime you upload a sale from the generator and set the items to active, as long as you create the "Sale" Menu item, then your products will show in that collection automatically as soon as they are set to active.
*all items are set as draft so they won't be active right away. That way you can get it ready ahead of time, check your pricing and add your images.... then and make it live in 2 minutes the morning of your sale.
FOR FLASH SALES IN SHOPIFY:
- Upload the products
- Create a COLLECTION called Flash Sale, or edit your existing one, and select SMART as the collection type
- Make it include all Products tagged with the "Campaign Name" Tag (you'll create that below)
- Then go into your MENU, and create a FLASH SALE menu item, and select your Flash Sale Collection.
- Then mark your Flash Sale products as active...
- From the main Product Page, click on the Draft Tab.
- From the Draft tab, click on the 🔎 on the right hand side, and a search bar will pop up
- UNDER the search bar, click on Tag. Search for your Campaign Name Tag.
- Once your Flash Sale items pop up, click the little box to select all, then click the blue Select all link.
- Once they are all selected, click the "Set as Active" button on the right.
To turn it off...
Follow the same steps that you used to "Set to active" but instead, "Set to Draft"
Then delete your Flash Sale Menu item! That's it. Leave the collection as it, so that you can reuse the same Flash Sale set up next time!
